Shackleton, Ernest (1874 – 1922)

A stunning large signed photograph by Ernest Shackleton, with the photographer’s mark of Swaine of New Bond Street, photograph size 6″ X 8″, attached to the original photographer’s 9″ X 12″ mount, contained within the photographer’s original display folder. The explorer is shown in a three-quarter length pose, wearing his polar expedition gear. Signed very boldly to the photograph, ‘Yours very sincerely, Ernest H. Shackleton’.  In very fine condition. Extremely rare and desirable in this format.
