Garland, Judy (1922 – 1969)

An excellent vintage signed and inscribed 10″ x 8″ photograph by both Judy Garland and Tommy Noonan individually, the image depicting the two actors in full-length costume poses together from the classic American musical drama film A Star Is Born (1954). Signed by both Garland and Noonan in blue fountain pen inks to the image, each adding inscriptions in their hands. It was for her performance in this film that Garland was nominated for a Best Actress Academy Award. A rare and highly desirable signed photograph of Garland in one of her most acclaimed roles. One small pinhole to each corner of the white borders, otherwise in very fine condition.

Provenance: The present photograph originates from the collection of Pierre Goulliard, a French gentleman who, for over 50 years, dedicated himself to obtaining in person autographs of British, American and European movie stars, always obtaining the signatures in fountain pen ink.
