Camus, Albert (1913 – 1960)

Camus offers some literary criticism

A fine one-page autograph letter signed by Albert Camus, 15th July 1954.

The author writes to an unnamed gentleman, in full, ‘I am curious to read this novel you are writing. The fragments of poetry and prose that you’ve shared are interesting. Despite the errors of form your original “tone” and authentic sentiment came through. Admittedly, these are scattered fragments, and it’s difficult to form an opinion on the whole subject. I wanted in any case to let you know of my sincere interest, and my best wishes, Albert Camus.’ He adds a post-script about a a trip to Paris in September.

In fine condition.
